Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague has called on Maurizio Sarri to utilize the depth of his squad to prevent key players from burning out in the course of the season.
Chelsea are currently unbeaten in all competitions this season under Sarri and sit second in the Premier League behind Manchester City on goals difference.
The new boss made some signings as he brought in the likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Mateo Kovacic and midfield maestro Jorginho.
The Blues have been impressive in the Sarri-ball system which is already gaining grounds but the manager uses the same core of players in every game, and Balague has admitted that it is a cause for concern.
“The impact is clear for everybody to see,” he said in a video on his Youtube channel.
“And it’s got to do with directness, it’s got to do with aggression to get the ball, it’s got to do with confidence, it’s got to do with victories.
“My worry is he is only using the same kind of players and he’s got to open up to use others because this kind of energy will die down a little bit if he continues like this.
“But so far so good and even players that are not playing regularly like Cesc (Fabregas) are talking very highly of Sarri.”
