  • Chelsea has till month end to finalize the deal.

Reports from Spain suggest that Chelsea could sign Real Madrid loanee this summer, the Spanish giants are requesting for a fee worth around €50 million.

Matteo Kovacic joined the Blues in the summer of last season on a season-long loan deal, the earlier reports indicated that the Blues were willing to end the midfielders time at the Bridge.

However, the two-window transfer ban imposed by FIFA has had an imminent impact on Chelsea’s plan for the player. New reports imply Chelsea is preparing a bid around €55 M to secure the services of the Croatia International.

The transfer ban would not affect Kovacic deal if it were to be made permanent due to the fact that the ban only stops Chelsea from registering new players, so all loaned players in the Club are available for selection.

The 25-year-old was a regular last season under Maurizio Sarri, he’s well known for his passing accuracy, skills, dribbling and defensive work rate which enabled his breakthrough playing alongside Jorginho and Kante.
