Chelsea have reportedly made a £52m bid to sign Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson from Roma

Courtois is set to enter the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and his supposed refusal to agree to contract renewal terms with the club have fuelled speculations that the club may look to sell him rather than let him go on a free transfer next summer.

However, Chelsea appear to have acted proactively in looking for a new number one and have made an offer to Roma for the Brazilian shot-stopper.

Alisson who is Brazil’s first choice goalie is also a reported target for both Real Madrid and Liverpool. However, Roma are likely to reject the bid as they will be holding out for bids close to £70m. Meanwhile, it seems like Alisson will leave this summer as the Serie A outfit need funds to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
