Netherlands defender Matthijs de Ligt has praised Hazard admitting that the Belgian is out of this world after the friendly encounter on Tuesday.
The Netherlands held Belgium to a 1 all draw after Arnaut Groeneveld’s equalizer canceled out Dries Mertens’ early goal and lead for Belgium.
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old De Ligt who is highly rated played the first half of the game and was impressed with Eden Hazard’s performance.
“I obviously knew about the size of [Romelu] Lukaku,” the Ajax defender said.
“And Hazard is truly out of this world. It’s been some night for me.”
De Ligt came through the ranks at Ajax and was very happy with the opportunity to play against some of the current best legs in football.
He added: “It was fantastic.
“You start playing football for games like these. Strikers like Lukaku, wingers like Hazard, it’s great to face them on the pitch.”
Meanwhile, Eden Hazard will now return to Chelsea and focus his attention on the Premier League clash against Man United at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are in a rich run of form whilst Hazard has been a red-hot scorer so far this season. He’ll be looking to add to his tally in the game, albeit a tricky fixture.
