Eden Hazard has admitted that he could have made more impact at Chelsea. The Belgian joined Chelsea from Ligue 1 outfit Lille in 2012 and has established himself as one of Europe’s top football talents since then.
Hazard has helped Chelsea to two Premier League titles, one League Cup, one Europa League title, and also spearheaded Chelsea to FA cup glory in the just concluded season with a 1 nil win over Manchester United.
The playmaker was voted as PFA player of the year in the 2014-15 campaign as Chelsea won the League Cup and Premier League under Jose Mourinho. However, he has expressed the belief that he could have accomplished more with Chelsea whilst admitting there is a lot of room for improvement from him.
In an interview with BT Sport before the FA Cup final, Hazard said:
“Six years later, I’m proud of what I did for Chelsea. I think I could do more.
“But I’m just looking forward to winning more trophies with this club and enjoying myself.”
The spotlight will now be on Chelsea as they will be looking to assemble a squad that is capable of reaching greater heights next season, although that will be after the club resolves who will be the manager in the dugout next season.
