Reports are rife that CSKA Moscow midfielder and Russia international Aleksandr Golovin has emerged as a potential transfer target for Chelsea.
Golovin has been linked with a move to Arsenal but it appears that the interest may have cooled off owing to Arsene Wenger’s departure, as Unai Emery is targeting improvements on other areas of the pitch.
According to the London Evening Standard, Chelsea are in the forefront of the race to acquire the Russian midfielder during the summer transfer window. It is believed that the Blues are very close to announcing Maurizio Sarri as the replacement of Conte, and there are suggestions that the Italian tactician is an admirer of Golovin.
Juventus also have interest in the midfielder who has established himself as one of Russia’s star footballers.
