Emerging reports suggest that Zinedine Zidane quit Real Madrid after a row over the club’s transfer policy. The Sun reports that Zidane had Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard as a major priority signing ahead of next season.
The report claims that the Frenchman clashed with Club president Florentino Perez over transfer plans the night before he announced that he was resigning from his position at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Zidane told Perez that he wanted to sign Hazard, who has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid recently only for Perez to say no. The report also added that: “when Perez told Zidane he wished to bring in long-term target De Gea, the manager said he had faith in Keylor Navas.”
Meanwhile, this could be good news for Chelsea fans and the club as a whole as their hopes of keeping Hazard “have been given a significant lift by Zidane’s decision to step down.”. Reports from London Evening Standard suggest.
