Eden Hazard has disclosed that he won’t make a move to Real Madrid in January, regardless of Rivaldo’s request that he should leave Chelsea for Madrid.
Hazard’s contract at Chelsea expires in June 2020 amid reported interest from Real Madrid.
However, the Belgian has stated that there is no chance of him leaving Stamford Bridge in January.
When asked if a move to Real Madrid would enhance his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or, he replied: “That’s why I want to go, maybe.”
Meanwhile, Rivaldo stated that the Belgian would do his career a massive good if he makes the move to Madrid.
He said: “In my opinion, Hazard could play even better at Real Madrid than in England as Spanish football gives a little more freedom to the players.”
“This kind of move could be good for the club and fans, as the arrival of a top player would give a much needed boost after [Cristiano] Ronaldo’s departure.”
