Andres Iniesta has named Chelsea’s midfield workhorse N’Golo Kante as one player he would have loved to play with for years.
Kante has seen his stocks rise since his move to Leicester and then to Chelsea and there are no signs of a decline as he continues to be relevant even in an unfamiliar role under Sarri.
The player has been forced to work on his attacking instincts under Maurizio Sarri in order to be accommodated in the Sarriball ideology and he hasn’t failed thus far although some limitations have been apparent.
Regardless, Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta has opined that Kante’s consistency at both club and national level makes him a very brilliant player he would have loved to play with.
Iniesta speaking with RMC Sport said: “He’s a player I’d like to have had in my team for many years,”
“He’s not going to come to Japan, but he’s definitely a player I love because of the work he does on the field and the confidence he has in his game.
“His mastery makes him the centrepiece of Chelsea and the France national team.”
