Alvaro Morata has told Chelsea fans that he is enjoying his football once again after recovering from a bad period at the club.
The Spain international appears to be on a row as he scored a brace in Chelsea’s 3:1 defeat of Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League last Sunday.
He opened the scoring with a well-timed shot in the 32nd minute before Andros Townsend drew level for Palace.
He then scored the second to restore the lead after substitute Eden Hazard’s free-kick found him in the box as he coolly controlled as slotted past the goalie.
Morata has now scored thrice in his last 4 games for the Blues in all competitions but Sarri still has doubts about his current form.
The Italian tactician suggested that Morata is very fragile to handle an important role for Chelsea after scoring 14 goals in 80 games for the club.
However, Morata insists that he has gotten over his difficult run after grabbing a brace last Sunday.
“I’m improving, I want to work and to help my team,” Morata told Sky Sports.
“The goals are like this, when you have a very bad period it takes long to recover. Last year was difficult for me for many things. You don’t expect an injury and I played when not fit, now the team is good and it’s time to enjoy this.”
