Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata who also spent some years with Real Madrid has spoken about Hazard’s desire to join the Spanish giants.
The Belgian’s recent comments on the issue suggest he’s between two minds on whether to commit to Chelsea or move to Real Madrid if an offer is made.
This won’t be the first time a Chelsea player has moved to Spain in recent times as the likes of Diego Costa and Thibaut Courtois recently left Chelsea to join the clubs in Madrid.
It can be recalled that both players were very clear on their desire to leave Chelsea. However, Morata is of the opinion that Hazard won’t force the move.
Regardless, he may have to, as a report from Spanish station SER suggest that the Los Blancos are looking to make a move for the Belgian in January, with his contract set to expire at the end of next season.
Morata, in a chat with Spanish broadcaster Cuatro as quoted by AS said:
“We’ve said that it’s not that he wants to leave Chelsea but if Madrid come in for him, that won’t be an obstacle.
“The thing is that he has a very good relationship with the club, he’s happy there and it’s not like other cases when a player wants to leave a club at any cost, but if it’s good for Chelsea they will keep that in mind.”
