According to reports from The Daily Telegraph, Napoli are willing to let Sarri join Chelsea for free but want David Luiz to be included as part of the deal.
The Serie A giants have already reached an agreement for Carlo Ancelotti to become their new manager but are yet to let go of Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian tactician is widely considered as Chelsea’s top managerial target this summer as they reportedly make plans to replace Antonio Conte.
Sarri who has a 7 million release clause is also being courted and has received an offer from Russian club Zenit. However, Napoli are prepared to waive the fee if Chelsea sell Luiz in a cut-price deal.
Luiz who played a vital role in Chelsea’s title inning campaign dropped out of favor this term, and was frozen out of first team action. He played no part in Chelsea’s last 18 matches in all competitions due to an injury, but his future remains uncertain even as Conte is expected to leave.
