Chelsea defender and Nigeria international Kenneth Omeruo has hinted that he might leave Stamford Bridge this summer with a view to gaining more experience and garnering more footballing reputation elsewhere.
Omeruo since joining Chelsea has yet to play for the club and was sent out on loan moves to clubs in Turkey. The 24-year-old Nigerian defender who played his part for Nigeria in the Russia 2018 world cup before they were ousted by Argentina in their final game of the group stages in a 2:1 defeat is now eager to play regular football elsewhere.
In a chat with newsmen when asked about his future at Chelsea, Omeruo replied:
“For me, I know the situation in Chelsea. We have lots of amazing talents at the club and they are all doing well in their respective positions.
“It is no longer about playing for Chelsea for some of us. Every player wants to play in a recognised league where they would be mentioned regularly.”
