Willian has backed his Brazil teammate Fred to be a major hit at Manchester United shortly after a deal had been agreed that sees the latter move to Old Trafford, whilst insisting that Fred was moving to one of the best teams in the world.
Fred is set to join Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United after a £52m deal was agreed with Shakhtar Donetsk yesterday.
Willian expressed the belief that Fred has a bright future and will make the grade in England. Hopefully, referring to Man United as one of the best clubs is not a hint of a preferred move to Old Trafford as Willian has been continuously linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.
“Of course, no doubt about that,” replied Willian when asked if Fred will thrive in the Premier League.

“He has a lot of quality, he can improve a lot. He is going to one of the best teams in the world and I’m happy for him.
“I hope he does well at Manchester United.”
